On behalf of the installer, Hermans Techniek Nederland BV is realising the complete heating and cooling infrastructure for four residential buildings in the new city district Cartesius Utrecht, a pioneering area development on the former NS railway grounds.
This neighbourhood, which focuses on health, sustainability, and future-proof living, requires a reliable and energy-efficient installation solution.
Our assignment includes the supply and installation of pre-insulated distribution pipes. The installation will soon provide sustainable heating and cooling to the residential buildings Okinawa, Ikaria, Nicoya, and CAB Bovenbouw.
For this remarkable project, we are installing Therma-Tube pre-insulated steel pipes from the central aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) system into the homes. In total, more than 784 social housing and owner-occupied homes will be connected to a sustainable collective energy system.
The work is being carried out in close collaboration with the construction partners within the Cartesius project. Together with our client, our expertise in delivering large-scale distribution infrastructure is fully leveraged. A great collaboration!
• Reliable supply of heating and cooling for four residential buildings
• Minimal energy losses thanks to high-quality pre-insulated piping
• Comfortable, sustainable homes without individual installations
• A collective, future-proof solution with a low environmental impact
With this project, we make a vital contribution to the sustainable ambitions of Cartesius Utrecht, where technology and quality of life go hand in hand.
